   Sophisticated - Weiland always acts a lot older than he may seem. His appearance also causes this with his long legs and sweet demeanor. He's very rational and never jumps first into anything he's never thought into. The only thing he might not be as mature about is his job, which he's always trying to escape. The tom would much rather be above ground than below, socializing and making friends.

   Endearing - Whether it be to a kit, and elder, or a she-cat, this tom has a caring heart. He likes to help out other cats as much as he can. This sweetness can somewhat turn into charm and manipulation if the tom really wants something, though. He's very considerate of others feelings and likes to make others feel better. He often would devote his time to the elders of the tribe, whether it was doing menial tasks or even just offering some company when he was younger.

   Possessive - If you're close to the tom, you'll know that he can be a bit protective. Because he was forced to leave both parents behind at a pretty young age he does not like to let others slip away so easily. Not only is he protective from other cats or danger, but he can be a bit clingy. The tom doesn't like to be alone often, and on the rare moments he does, he's usually thinking about how things could have been.

   Chivalrous - Weiland is a gentleman at heart. He's the first to offer respect and he's always polite and on his best behavior. Unfortunately, sometimes he can become manipulative because of this.

   Fussy - This tom is the epitome of neat and clean. You will rarely see him dirty, and he often makes a big deal about getting dirty. If one bit of fur is out of place, you might expect a meltdown. This is one of the reasons why Weiland is not very fond of his job. He can't get it through his brain that he actually needs to mine for his clan when he's too busy trying to tidy his fur.

History

Birth: Weiland's story started with his parents. Kehri and Amber met at an extremely young age, and because of this they thought each other to be their "true loves". You can guess what this probably led to, but unknowingly Kehri left Amber before she could give birth to their single kit, Weiland, or Soot at the time. Amber, heartbroken but still believing in the tom she had first fell in love with, raised her one and only son as an exile of the Northern Territories.

Kithood/Apprenticeship: Life was as normal as it could be for an Exile mother and her kit. The young tom was always found by his mothers side, and if he wasn’t it was likely that he was buttering up to one of the Elder’s to tell him stories. He rarely questioned where his father had gone, and none of the exiles had much to say about it, though Amber nearly talked about the tom all the time. Amber was and obsessive she-cat who was stuck in the past, and she didn’t want that for her only son. It was surprising when the time came that the tom had turned 6 moons old and the she-cat decided that Weiland needed to be apart of something more, and to actually meet his father. She had been so protective of him throughout the first parts of his life. She really didn’t want the young grey tom to leave her like her first mate, but with all the exiles slowly making their way back with the tribes, she decided that this was no place for a growing kit. When the tribes moved North, Amber brought Weiland to the tribes to be integrated with the other cats, and instead of staying as well, the she-cat could not bear the thought of possibly seeing her first love. She left the tribes and moved away, escaping her past, not even promising the young grey tom to return.

Adolescence: Once Weiland moved to the tribes, he found it hard to swallow the fact that the closest cat to him had left him alone. The first nights were rough, and by the end of the first week he found his paws oftentimes taking him to the Elder’s den. A bit of familiarity arose with the tom and he quickly made close friends within the tribe. The tom's likability helped him, and he found it easy to get close and find assurance in other cats as well. As he grew he began to feel a bit of annoyance and disgust with his father for 'making his mother leave', but the young tom often pushes this away from his thoughts to be dealt with on a later day. Weiland is very secretive with his past, and doesn’t like letting other cats know that he has family within the tribes. Weiland became best friends with a Pink-Orange-Earth named Akida, and a Pink-Orange-Shadow named Drew. Despite being close with his friends and mentor/unknown uncle, Soren, Weiland still held some sort of contempt toward his father, Green-Light Kehri. Especially after Kehri gained another mate (Maika) Weiland found himself hating Kehri at his peak. After being forced to get along by Maika, the tom soon felt some sort of feeling towards his dad besides hate. He became closer to Maika than Kehri, and after finding out that he was going to be the older brother of their kits, the tom had opened himself up to his new family, something he had wanted ever since his mother had made him leave and become part of the tribes.

Adulthod: Romantically, the tom had also experienced love. He had grown very close to the Pink-Orange Shadow, now Orange-Shadow Drew, though she had grown weak with sickness. He found himself scolding the she-cat out of worry. He didn't think she was taking care of herself properly, and definitely didn't want to lose her. After fighting one day, they had begun to avoid each other. Weiland then found a close relationship with the Orange-Earth Akida, especially after saving their lives one day when they had decided to explore the Breathing Caldera. Weiland came out of the incident with a scarred shoulder.

After the incident, Weiland came into contact with Drew again, only to find out that she was going to be mated to a Green-Fire. Feeling a bit down and jealous, the tom really only spent time with Akida, who had also felt a bit hurt by the Orange-Shadow's actions. After spending more and more time with the she-cat, he found himself liking her even more. She had admitted the same, and soon after they had become mates. This was around the time that Earth-Tribe was still stationed in Light-Tribe during the caiman attacks.

Akida was expecting kits after the caiman war, and gave birth to two kits. Spirit, the pale tan she-kit, and Boulder, a grey tom. As the kits grew up back in the original Earth-Tribe territory, Akida's father, Rey, passed. Kehri left the tribes, much to Weiland's disgust, and Soren also left the tribes not long after the birth of his own kits with the Silver-Water. Weiland grew very emotional and upset because of this and watched as more and more of his family leave.

Once Spirit and Boulder gained their tattoos and respectively went to Light-Tribe and Shadow-Tribe, things continued to go downhill. Akida was killed protecting Freya from a fox, and the death took it's toll on the mother-less family.

Weiland now makes frequent visits to Light-Tribe in order to ease Freya's fears, and he hears that Zodok might be moving back to Earth-Tribe. He has confided in the Blue-Green-Earth Aoba, as he is one of the only cats Weiland talks to.

A lot has changed since the kits had gone to their respective tribes. Weiland now only spends time in Earth-Tribe as he's grown apart from his kits, and refuses to join the Golden Butterflies. There has been incidents now where Weiland has gotten hurt because of his distracted this, including during an assignment where he was hit on the head and knocked out.

Facts:

* The only family he has in the tribes is his father, Kehri, and his uncle, Soren. Neither Kehri or Weiland know of their relation with the Yellow-Earth. Now the only family he has is San and Nina, his half brother and sister; Soren's kits, his cousins; Suri & her siblings, his half-siblings; and Freya and Zodok, his own kits.

*The tom has a knack for finding secret places where he often spends his time alone to escape the stresses of tribe-life, he would bring someone here if they were a very close friend. Now that Weiland's found his place he's much more social and would rather have the company of his tribe-mates rather than be alone.

*Weiland makes friends very easily, and can get along with nearly anyone.

*He has a slight disgust for his father, despite the way his mother always made him seem. In all reality the tom is just confused, but he won't ever let Kehri know this, or anyone else. He has an extreme hatred for his father. After seeing Kehri walk out not only on his own mother but Maika and his new kits has really changed the tom. There wouldn't be much holding Weiland back from attacking Kehri if he were to ever see him again.

*Because he shares a lot of traits with his father, if someone were to point it out, he would immediately stop doing it. Unfortunately, these traits are a bit more habitual than he thinks and usually resorts back to them unconsciously.

*As he gets older he might begin to show a bit of being bisexual, similar to his father. He is bisexual. He has shown interest in a few other tomcats.

*He actually knows a lot about plants seeing that in his free time he's usually hanging out in the woods and trying to replicate many of the plants and foliage with his own powers. His favorite are flowers, which he usually gives to cats he has crushes on or loves.

*Weiland has 4 half-siblings in the tribes from Maika and Kehri. He has a lot of issues with the brothers but treats his younger sister like a princess, especially since she shares the same name as his mother.

*Now Weiland also has cousins in the tribes (SorenxTuari), and more half-siblings (KehrixKena). He doesn't know of them, though.

*The scar that Weiland has on his left shoulder is from an incident that Akida, his former mate, and him had while they were exploring The Breathing Caldera. It's a steam-burn scar.

*His scar has healed a bit, and fur has grown back. He now doesn't wear his collar because of the damage it had taken in the incident.

*Because of the incident, he also has a slight lameness in his front leg. He still doesn't stretch it out too much because of the scar. The lameness is practically gone, but sometimes the large scar can bother him if irritated.

*Weiland has been so distracted lately that he hasn't really been keeping up to his standards of looking exemplary. His hair has reverted to being messy, like he had when he was a kit. Fur all over his body has been getting a bit messy actually, especially with fur starting to grow over his scar. Instead of reverting back to his old looks, Weiland's taken up a somewhat new look. His fur isn't as messy as before, but definitely not as pristine as it used to be. He has come to care less about his looks than usual.

*After so many deaths and some cats leaving Weiland has nearly given up. He has hidden the necklace that Akida had made for him and really wants nothing but to know his only living kin is okay. He has also been thinking of Drew and hoping that the only remaining friend from his younger years is still surviving. His closest friend is probably Green-Earth Aoba.

*Weiland is now going through a depression of sorts and will often have nightmares in his sleep, while also using his powers unconsciously. Sometimes he sees things and will talk to himself, so he usually sleeps with Aoba to calm himself.
